ANTOFF™ is a purpose-built bait solution for the effective management of Yellow Crazy Ants (YCA), combining exceptional palatability with a highly flexible application profile. Formulated with a specialised protein that is highly attractive to YCA, ANTOFF™ encourages strong bait uptake and enables efficient transfer of the active ingredient throughout the colony. 

Supported by a broad label that permits use across a wide range of environments- including urban, rural, agricultural (when used in bait stations), industrial, environmental and public land settings, ANTOFF™ offers flexible application options and can be used in challenging environments, including around waterways. 

Trial work in North Queensland demonstrated that ANTOFF™ reduced Yellow Crazy Ant populations to below detectable levels at most sites for up to two months following treatment, highlighting its effectiveness as part of a strategic control program. Furthermore, alternative active constituents such as Hydramethylnon, Indoxacarb and Pyriproxyfen were found to be ineffective against YCA, reinforcing the value of ANTOFF's formulation and mode of action.

Highly Palatable

ANTOFF™ is strategically formulated with a specialised protein that is highly attractive to Yellow Crazy Ants, encouraging strong bait uptake. 

Low Fipronil Concentration - 0.01 g/kg

The ultra-low fipronil concentration provides delayed mortality, allowing YCA's natural behaviours to support effective bait transfer throughout the colony. 

After consuming ANTOFF™, individual ants survive long enough to unknowingly spread the active ingredient throughout the colony via natural food-sharing and grooming behaviours, helping to deliver the bait to other ants, including those that have not directly fed on it. 

Products formulated with higher concentrations of fipronil may cause mortality too rapidly, reducing the opportunity for bait transfer within the colony. In some cases, they may also deter ants from feeding altogether. 

Flexible Application Options

ANTOFF™ can be applied using a range of application methods, including: 

• Aerial application  

• Motorised blower  

• Handheld applicator  

• Bait stations  

Ability to Treat Around Waterways

ANTOFF™ can be used around waterways, providing additional flexibility when managing YCA in challenging environments. 

Where there are standing pools of water within a dry creek bed, treatment between the standing water should only be undertaken by hand.

Broad Range of Approved Use Situations

ANTOFF™ has a broad label allowing use across a wide range of situations, including: 

• Domestic and public service areas  

• Commercial and industrial areas  

• Publicly managed land  

• Mine sites and wastelands  

• Rural and residential areas  

• Forests, natural bushland and roadside reserves  

• Pastures, grasslands and reserves  

• Sugarcane  

• Non-agricultural areas  

• Agricultural crops, only when used in bait stations  

North Queensland Trial Results

Trials conducted in North Queensland showed that ANTOFF™ was successful in reducing YCA abundance to below detectable levels at most sites for a period of up to two months following application. The resurgence in abundance at most sites suggests that at least a second application may be required around two months after the initial application.  

Active Constituent Trial Results- 

The following multiple active constituents were trialled on Yellow Crazy Ants and were found to be ineffective: 

• Hydramethylnon

• Indoxacarb

• Pyriproxyfen (an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR)
